The countdown is on. This November, Halifax will be at the centre of something truly special: two unforgettable fashion shows that celebrate the very best of northern creativity, heritage and style. And here’s the exciting part – we’re giving fashion lovers the chance to apply for free tickets.

Two Shows, One Mission
The Up North Runway movement is about more than fashion. It’s about restoring the North’s rightful place at the heart of the industry. Too often, creative talent is drawn to London, leaving northern voices unheard. We’re changing that.
This November, we’ll showcase the designers, boutiques and makers who prove the North has everything it takes – and more – to shine on the global stage.
- Wednesday 5th November 2025 – Halifax Minster
A unique setting for our Emerging Designers Show. Expect to see bold collections from graduate designers and new labels, bringing fresh perspectives to the runway inside one of Yorkshire’s most iconic heritage venues. - Saturday 8th November 2025 – Berties, Elland, Halifax
Our Black Tie Fashion Show, an evening of sophistication, class and glamour. Established couture designers will share the stage with independents and innovators, creating a spectacle steeped in northern pride and timeless style.
Together, these shows epitomise northern values: resilience, authenticity, craftsmanship and community.
We’re Looking for Fashion Ambassadors
We don’t just want an audience. We want fashion ambassadors – people who can help spread the word that the North is back.
That means:
- Posting about our shows on your socials
- Sharing behind-the-scenes excitement
- Bringing new followers into the Up North Runway community
- Championing northern talent to your networks
In short: if you love fashion, live in the North, and want to help us make noise, we want you with us.
What You’ll Get
Those chosen will receive:
- Free tickets to the Emerging Designers Show at Halifax Minster (5th November)
- Exclusive invites to the Black Tie Fashion Show at Berties, including drinks reception and three course meal (8th November)
- The chance to be part of an event that brings together heritage, elegance, and contemporary style
- A visit to the Heritage museum in Halifax to witness the world's oldest working loom and take a walk through the history of wool and cloth.

Spaces are limited, so be quick. We’ll be choosing applicants who can really help amplify our message: the North is back, and it’s ready to lead in fashion once again.
